My forthcoming work spans three books that ask the same underlying question from different angles:

God Walks into a Bar (memoir in progress) — A spiritual memoir about one queer, traumatized adoptee who grew up in a dive bar, read the Bible without supervision at twelve, and spent four decades following a thread of radical love through psychiatry, theology, and — in the ending nobody saw coming — into a Jewish life.

Bastard Theology (in development) — How Western societies built themselves on myths of purity, legitimacy, and proper order — and why the biblical tradition keeps insisting that renewal enters history through exactly the wrong people.

Edible Entanglements (Wipf & Stock, 2021; lay revision in development) — How theological ideas about sovereignty and control quietly shape global food systems — and why ecological reality keeps refusing to cooperate. Originally published for academic readers; currently being reimagined for the audience that needs it most.

Different fields. Same pattern. Reality is relational, mixed, and stubbornly alive — and human systems that pretend otherwise eventually collapse under the weight of that pretense.
